House Bill 5711, introduced by Representative Luke Meerman on 2/1/2022, is a bill to amend Section 11 of the 1851 Public Act 156 and ties bar with House Bill 5355.

(w) By majority vote of the members of the county board of commissioners, remove the appointed local health officer of that county for any reason. As used in this subdivision, "local health officer" means that term as defined in section 1105 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.1105.
