House Bill 5269, introduced on 8/17/2021 and referred to the House Committee on Education, prohibits public schools from requiring students to wear face masks.

Sec. 1136a. (1) A school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy shall not adopt or implement a policy that requires that pupils enrolled in the school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy wear a face mask to attend a school operated by the school district, intermediate school district, or public school academy.
