Introduced on May 19, 2021, by Senator Lana Theis, SB0457 would prohibit MDHHS from being able to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations under an emergency order!
This bill would amend the 1978 Public Act 368, by amending sections 2253 & 2453 to read:

(4) The director shall not issue an emergency order under this section that requires a minor to receive a vaccination for COVID-19.
(3) A local health officer shall not issue an emergency order under this section that requires a minor to receive a vaccination for COVID-19.
SB0457 was read for the third time on May 25, 2021, and PASSED the Senate 20-16!!
This bill has now moved on to the House and has been referred to the House Committee on Government Operations.
